Take a Ride on the Wild Side!
Hi everyone! I’m back to tell you more about our trip to the Bronx Zoo. After getting mesmerized by the amazing animals at the Congo Gorilla Forest, we headed towards the Wild Asia Monorail.

The tour guide helped us spot a lot of interesting animals such as the Gaur, Indian Rhino, and Red Panda. The Gaur is the world’s largest wild cattle. There are only around 1000 left in the wild due to the destruction of their habitat and poaching.
The Indian Rhino also called the Greater one-horned Rhino lives primarily in northern India and southern Nepal. Their population is threatened because of the craze for rhino horns; believed to have medicinal properties.
The Red Panda a.k.a. Firefox (Yup, the mascot of the Mozilla web browser) looks more like a raccoon than a panda. It was difficult to take a closeup picture of this little guy… he was hiding behind the trees!
I’m glad that Bronx Zoo recreated a naturalistic haven for the animals. The exhibits were both fun and educational. It made us appreciate the fascinating creatures and the habitats that are vital to their survival. It also opened our eyes to the plight of these animals and the importance of supporting conservation efforts to protect and save them.

No matter your age, everyone always loves a trip to the zoo! You got some great photos. I always find the monkeys and gorillas entertaining.

Yes, no one is too old to visit the zoo. We had so much fun – the monkeys and gorillas are so fascinating!

I didn’t make it to the Bronx when I went to NYC so it’s nice to know what else is there to see if I ever go back. I love the layout of that zoo and how it looks like a mini-safari. Your pictures are really nice as well.
