My Spring Makeup Routine

It’s time for a spring glow-up!

Spring is a great time to refresh your beauty routine. I actually started a new skincare regimen this season. Before I put any makeup products on my face, I make sure that my skin is clean and well-hydrated. Click the link if you want to read more about my 5-Step Morning Skincare Routine for Glowing Skin.

After applying my skincare products, I wait for a few minutes to let my skin breathe before moving on to my makeup routine. Sharing with you a list of the different makeup products that I use to get that naturally radiant look for spring.

FACE

MAC Prep + Prime Skin

This is an oldie but goodie primer that I’ve used for years. Why I love it? It’s lightweight, oil-free, and non-acnegenic. It also has a creamy texture that blurs out my pores and leaves my skin looking more smooth and even.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15

I use a Beautyblender to apply this liquid foundation. It’s also one of my favorite products from MAC because it matches my skin tone perfectly. For reference, my shade is NC 35 ( light to medium beige with peachy golden undertone).

LAURA MERCIER Translucent Loose Setting Powder – Honey

To set my foundation, I use a fluffy powder brush to lightly buff the powder all over my face and neck. This powder blends effortlessly and doesn’t leave my skin looking dry and chalky. It has a peachy undertone which is perfect for medium skin tones.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Cheek To Chic Pillow Talk Original

I am so obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk collection. The two-tone pink and champagne powder blush is so pretty. I use the darker shade as a blush color and the lighter one as a highlighter.

EYES & BROWS

BENEFIT COSMETICS 24-Hr Brow Setter Clear Eyebrow Gel

Another must-have in my makeup kit is this clear eyebrow gel. I don’t usually use any other products for my brows. The clear gel is enough to shape and tame my eyebrows.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Lash Brag Volumizing Mascara

For daytime makeup, I like to have natural-looking eyelashes. So.  I only use a single coat of this mascara.  If you want thick and dramatic lashes, then apply 3 coats for full-on extreme volume.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Luxury Palette Pillow Talk

I got this eyeshadow palette together with the blush and lipstick because the colors match perfectly. The palette has four gorgeous shades that are so blendable and easy to use.

LIPS

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Mini Pillow Talk Lip Kit

I wanted to try the mini version because I wasn’t sure if the shade will look good on me. The nude pink color is lighter than the darker shades of pink that I’m used to. I was pleasantly surprised when the lip liner and lipstick duo looked really nice on my lips.

What are some of your go-to makeup products? Have you tried any new makeup this spring? Please share in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you.

  1. I never tried anything from Mac if I have to be honest even if everyone raves about them, so I really need to give it a chance! I am not much into makeup so my go to is a nice lipstick and mascara x

    • I’ve been loving this MAC primer and foundation for years. I have sensitive skin and it’s hard to find makeup that doesn’t bother my skin. There are days when I don’t put on a lot of makeup too – just tinted sunscreen, brow gel, and lip gloss.

  3. It’ll be nice to not wear a mask and rock a beautiful lip color! Of course, I live on Maui and everything melts off my face. My days of living in NYC were the start of my make-up obsession….ah, those were the days! Love Charlotte Tilbury and MAC products. Beautiful, natural look! PS – I’m a nurse too girl….well, retired NICU RN. There’s no NICU on Maui. So, I’m a stay at home Mom and general domestic goddess these days, dreaming of my return to civilization. Yes, I am suffering from serious island fever. I fear it is terminal. Tata for now!

  4. Ooh! Love how you prep your face with MAC products. They’re really rich! Big plus when the primer covers any pores and doesn’t leave it clogged. I keep hearing great things about Charlotte Tilbury’s collections! I have the pillow talk lipstick and it is amazing! I love that your makeup look is really natural! I am here decked out with just Chanel makeup LOL. Not diverse enough :’)
