Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. – Stanley Horowitz
It’s 37 degrees right now in New York, and there is a chance of snow in the next few days. I’m really hoping it’s not going to snow yet because I’m not ready for winter.
My heart still belongs to Fall.
There are so many reasons to love autumn. Let me share with you my 3 Favorite Things About Fall.
1. Fall Colors
One of our fave things to do every fall is to travel and check out the yearly autumn makeover. A few weeks ago, we joined our friends on a fall foliage road trip to Adams, Massachusetts. The vibrant fall colors was an excellent backdrop for an Instagram-worthy photo of my hubby and me!
2. Fall Fashion
It’s the season for jackets, animal prints, and boots. Here are some of my favorite fall pieces.

3. Fall Festivities
We had so much fun at the Captain JP Cruise Halloween Party this year. I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood, and my hubby was the Lumberjack (he forgot to bring his ax), who saved me from the big bad wolf. The party was packed with guests from various eras and storybooks. It was an unforgettable night of food, drinks, music, and dancing!
One more thing that I’m so excited about this fall is… Thanksgiving! It’s a great time to catch up with my closest friends and family. And of course, enjoy some of my fall favorites: pumpkin pie, apple crisp, and sweet potato casserole.
Are you also having a hard time saying goodbye to Fall? What are some of the things that you love about this season? Feel free to share in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you!

I feel like we never even get a fall anymore! Just summer, then rain and cold, then winter! But I do love it when I can catch it for a moment.

Autumn has somehow temperate weather in some areas specifically in the Moderate Mediterranean climate…

Fall temperature does vary in different places. It would be really nice if it stays above 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

I do love the colors. Living so close as I do to the Blue Ridge Parkway, I come to love them more and more! My growing collection of scarves comes out this time of year to!
And, oh, pumpkin pie! 🙂

It is a breathtaking sight, seeing all the rusty shadows from the overlooks.

I love the multicoloured leaves and how vibrant everything is during the autumn. Only Christmas can cajole me into some optimism about winter!

Texas doesn’t have much “fall” – we went to a pumpkin farm in October and it was 100 degrees! (the following week it actually did pretend to be fall). I love the cooler weather and all the baking. Hope you had a wonderful fall and holiday season!
