My 10-Minute Everyday Skincare + Makeup Routine

If you have 10 minutes or less to do your skincare and makeup, I have the perfect routine for you!

I’m a nurse and my shift starts at 7 am. I try to wake-up early, but sometimes I just want to stay a little longer in bed. After hitting the snooze button several times, I get up, shower, and get ready for work. I don’t have much time for a complicated beauty routine, so I only use essential skincare and makeup products.

Sharing with you my current 10-Minute Everyday Skincare + Makeup Routine that will have you heading out the door in no time.

Skincare

1. Cleanser

I love to use a gentle, non-stripping cleanser. Our skin’s normal ph level ranges from 4-6. Anything that disrupts the skin’s natural balance can lead to irritations. I’m currently using COSRX Low pH Good Morning Cleanser. I love how this cleanser leaves my skin feeling so soft, clean, and fresh.

2. Serum

I rotate my serums depending on what my skin needs. I usually go for Vitamin C serums because of their antioxidant and brightening benefits. I’ve been trying the Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Care Serum for three weeks now. So far, I’m enjoying the lightweight and gel-like texture of the serum. Though I haven’t seen much changes in my dark spots yet, this serum has helped my skin look a lot more radiant.

3. Sunscreen

I have combination skin, which tends to be on the oilier side. Thus, I usually skip my moisturizer and use hydrating sunscreens instead. I’m currently obsessed with Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen. This sunscreen feels like a lightweight moisturizer that leaves your skin with a nice, semi-dewy finish with no white cast. Hands down, one of the best sunscreens I’ve ever tried. I’m on my 2nd tube now.

4. Lip Balm

Lips balms are a must for me especially during the colder seasons. The cold air can leave my lips feeling dry and chapped. I have a lot of lip balms, but my fave right now is the Manyo Factory Vegan Lip Balm Green Pink. The green lip balm works like magic. It is so moisturizing and it adds a subtle pink hue to your lips.

Makeup

1. CCC Cream

I’ve recently discovered Cle’s CCC Cream, or Color Control and Change Cream. It’s a lightweight primer and foundation that blends seamlessly into the skin. For everyday makeup, I prefer the natural makeup look (barefaced-but-better) and this cream provides the right amount of light to medium coverage.

I’m also enjoying this cream because it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Plus, it is packed with SPF and skin-loving ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E.

2. Multi-Tasking Lip & Cheek Products

Now, this is the fun part of my routine. I’ve been playing with various multi-tasking products lately. These makeup innovations can be applied on eyelids, cheeks, and lips. Some of my faves right now are Cle’s Melting Lip Powder (Lady Guava), Tower 28’s Beach Please (Magic Hour), and Fenty’s Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush (Petal Poppin). Look how pretty the colors are!

3. Mineral Powder

Next, I go in with my Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder. To keep that healthy looking glow, I only powder certain areas of my face. I learned this trick from one of the beauty influencers I follow on YouTube. She uses a small fluffy brush to apply a quick sweep of powder on her T-zone, under-eye area, and cheeks.

4. Eyebrow Gel or Eyebrow Pencil

I’m not an expert when it comes to shaping my eyebrows. I usually use Benefit’s 24-Hr Brow Setter to shape and tame my brows. However, if I’m in the mood to do a little extra for my eyebrows, my go-to product is Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil. I use the angled pencil tip on one end to fill-in my brows, and the spoolie brush on the other end to easily blend the color.

5. Mascara

When it comes to mascara, I’m very picky. For everyday use, I want something that looks natural, keeps my lashes up, is water-resistant, non-irritating, and easy to remove. The Heimish Dailism Smudge Stop Mascara and Tower 28 MakeWaves Lengthening + Volumizing Mascara fit the bill. These mascaras stay put for hours and won’t leave you with unsightly raccoon eyes.

  1. Your skin care routine is super simple and effective, I’m a big fan of sunscreen and moisturizing your skin. My makeup is usually mascara, eyeliner, and then lipstick and blush. Thanks for sharing yours!

    • Glad you like it. I love to try different skincare and makeup products. But, I carefully pick the ones I include in my everyday routine. The wrong product can cause breakouts… and that’s not something I want to use at all.

  2. That Cosrx cleanser is one of my favorites! The Innisfree eyebrow pencil is also really good but I love the Etude House one better. Thanks for sharing the power trick! I love that healthy dewy skin look but I feel like my makeup transfers easily that way, I will try quickly applying powder on a few areas to see if it helps. Thank you for sharing your everyday makeup routine with us! I always love seeing what products other people are using. ♥
